American Classic Motors

I’ve been looking for my next bike for a while now and finally found the perfect one at American Classic Motors. I’ve passed them many times before but never bothered stopping by until recently. They have a great selection of all different types of interesting motorcycles and they made the process for me straightforward and easy. I’ll definitely be keeping them in mind when I inevitably decide to do a full engine build and push as much power as I can get out of her. I’m glad I found my bike here and I’d love to work with them again.

Ok so I retracted my previous review and dropped it 3 stars. I originally gave a 4. About 6 months ago I purchased a 2006 HD Classic. Upon getting the bike all was what I thought good. Gave a 4 because I didn't quite agree on paying them 499 to look over and quote on quote service a bike before it goes out. That type of stuff should be done anyways before a bike is even sold. I dropped it 3 more stars to a 1 because I have had the bike going on 7 months, I ride a lot, don't beat my bike up and not being very knowledgeable on how bikes are supposed to sound a run I didn't realize my bike wasn't running good from.the get go. Kinda always thought it was running funny but was told the cams were done on the bike and not to mind the gurgle or pop with the motor. Yeah well I didn't mind it until it got worse and I couldn't ride it. And being out of my 30 days for the warranty and also not liking the 499 charge just to look at the bike before its sold to you I decided to take it to Shaeffers HD to see what was wrong. Here the front cam wasn't running nijg right and reading 20 off and the rear wasn't reading at all. When they opened her up and looked the rear cam was badly done for. The bearing in the rod that goes o er the cam (not mechanically inclined much) the bearing was bad and wearing into the cam which made it indent around the cam not allowing the cam to function properly which according to the mechanic is not something that happens over night and seems it probably started well before I got the bike. And of course the cams in it are obsolete so I had to get new cams, new oil pump, and bunch of other things. The damage, $2400. Mechanic should have noticed bike not sounding or running right during the so called $499 service that was paid for before I received the bike. So i won't ever be purchasing another bike from here again. Don't waste your money on the service. Just take it to a HD dealer if you do purchase one. And don't contact if something goes wrong outside that 30 days. They don't care all they want is to get it in there to make even more money off of you hence why you only get a lousy 30 day warranty.

Been looking at a bike these folks had listed on their website. Was traveling on business in close proximity to their location. Called to tell them that I would like to look at the bike. They said "sure, what time will you be here and we will have the bike pulled around front for you". Mike did a great job showing the bike. Ryan did a great job writing up the deal. Cesalee did a wonderful job facilitating the paperwork and Sean was fantastic delivering the bike to our front door step 400 miles from their location. Will definitely do business with these nice folks again!

I'm leaving 2 stars because the people I talked to were polite and pleasant, that's about the only good thing I have. I emailed and called twice to let them know I wanted to come up to look at a bike. I was told sure, no problem. Drove 90 minutes to get there only to find out the bike was sold the day before. I decided to look at another one, and it took them 15 minutes to find it. These people are very disorganized. When I told them I drove 90 minutes they didn't apologize or offer to pay for my gas. When I asked for a trade-in evaluation on my bike they gave me one of the lowest offers I've received for my bike. Will not be doing business with them.
